Forensic Analyst / Ballistics Expert, trained in Greece and further trained in the USA, Canada and Germany. He worked for many years in the State Laboratories of the Forensic Science Division of the Hellenic Police, specializing in laboratory examinations of firearms, cartridge cases, bullets and toolmarks.

He served as liaison officer with Europol’s Knowledge Management Centre on matters related to the Integrated Ballistics Identification System for comparative examinations of cartridge-case and bullet marks - (IBIS).

The 30/11/1999 award of the moral distinction of “COMMENDATION”, for the connection, through ballistic investigations, of eight (8) Criminal Acts, which constituted substantial assistance to the Law Enforcement Authorities, resulting in the establishment of serious offences, such as robbery, attempted homicide, etc., and in the scientific documentation of pending case files.

The 18/1/2002 award of the moral distinction of “COMMENDATION”, for the connection, through ballistic investigations, of thirty-two (32) Criminal Acts, which constituted substantial assistance to the Law Enforcement Authorities, resulting in the establishment of serious offences, such as homicide, robbery, etc., and in the scientific documentation of pending case files.

The 6/7/2004 award of the “MEDAL OF POLICE MERIT”, because in the performance of my duties, utilizing the existing logistical infrastructure and my high scientific and technical training, I carried out laboratory examinations, identifications and correlations of objects - evidence, which were related to the dismantling of the Revolutionary Organization 17 November. The 15/4/2005 award of a “MATERIAL REWARD”, because in the performance of my duties, utilizing the existing logistical infrastructure and my high scientific and technical training, I carried out laboratory examinations, identifications and correlations of objects - evidence, which were related to the dismantling of the Revolutionary Organization 17 November.

  18. The 8/5/2007 award of the moral distinction of “COMMENDATION”, for the completion of a large volume of cases and the examination of an unusual volume of evidence, which contributed to the connection - correlation of many criminal cases.

The 20/8/2007 award of the moral distinction of “APPRECIATION”, for the performance of laboratory examinations of a large volume of evidence, which constituted substantial assistance to the Law Enforcement Authorities, in the solving and arrest of the perpetrators and the scientific documentation of the case file concerning the homicides of five (5) hunters in the Municipal District of Kalyvia, Municipality of Agrinio, Aitoloakarnania.

The 18/5/2007 letter of thanks from the President of the Canadian company FORENSIC TECHNOLOGY WAI Inc, supplier of the Integrated Ballistics Identification System for comparative examinations of cartridge-case & bullet marks of the Forensic Science Division / Hellenic Police, for my long-standing assistance and support in the development of the system.
  21. The 12/9/2007 award of an “HONORARY DIPLOMA”, by the Chief of the Hellenic Police, as recognition of the services I offered to the Hellenic Police Corps.
  22. In January 2022, he was awarded an Honorary Plaque by the Director of the Attica Security Directorate of the Hellenic Police, Major General Petros Tzeferis, as a Judicial Analyst, in recognition of his selfless contribution and continued support to the Attica Security Directorate.
