The company, under the legal form and distinctive title “F.I.L. Ltd.”, was established in 2008 by Deed No. 2974/12-3-2008 of the Athens notary Dimitra Athan. Stavropoulou and was registered in the Companies Registry of the Court of First Instance of Athens under general number 5465/2008 and special number 1542/2008 - (Government Gazette 2153, issue S.A. - Ltd., registration date 11/4/2008). It held Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry registry number 256044/2008, and its trademark was filed and declared with the Ministry of Development / General Secretariat of Commerce, pursuant to Articles 6 and 38 paragraph 2 of Law 2239/94 “on trademarks”, as currently in force.

In its present form, it is operated by George RAFTOGIANNIS, AFTE Member No.: 2463 and H.A.F.S. Member No.: 0002, holder of Recognised Trademark No. 197929 of the General Secretariat of Commerce, as confirmed by Decision No. 3141 of the Administrative Trademarks Committee, bearing the indication FIC and the designation Forensic Investigation Consultant, Forensic Analyst / Ballistics Expert, registered in the lists of experts of the Courts of First Instance and Public Prosecutor’s Offices of Greece, in accordance with the terms of Service Contract No. 4294/2013 of the Athens 4th Tax Office for Forensic Investigation Services.

Based at 12 Dimokritou Street, Athens, it maintains laboratories with adequate equipment and specifications that follow all contemporary standards.

It is an organised private initiative aimed at the investigation, analysis and documentation of forensic data in accordance with international scientific-technical forensic laboratory standards and methodology.

The principle of free evaluation of indications, in accordance with our procedural system, and the response to the needs of society were the main starting point for my decision to become active in this field, in order to contribute, from this approach and perspective, to the administration of justice and, by extension, to the strengthening, through modern techniques and approaches, of a State governed by the rule of law.

My long-standing career to date in the State Laboratories of the Directorate of Criminal Investigations, supported by long-standing knowledge and experience in performing and evaluating laboratory examinations with “reliability” and “consistency”, formed the impetus for undertaking this activity, so that through simple approaches and examples the possibilities opened to Legal Science through the scientific-technical evaluation and utilisation of findings may be understood, especially in matters which until now often passed unnoticed and unused!!!

The purpose is to provide services for timely evaluation, the drawing of conclusions, their judicial support and the general provision of advice during the stages of preliminary inquiry, investigation and court hearing, in a valid, reliable and non-disputable manner.
